Asbestos Abatement Corp was retained by Union Community College to remove 60,000 square feet of asbestos-containing popcorn ceiling texture across multiple classroom, corridor and administrative spaces on their Union, NJ campus.
Work was executed under full negative-pressure containment with HEPA filtration and decontamination units at every entry. Phasing was coordinated around the academic calendar so that instruction and building access could continue without disruption.
Third-party air monitoring and final clearance testing confirmed all spaces met regulatory standards prior to reoccupancy. The project was completed in 2025, on schedule and to the college’s specifications.
