Asbestos Abatement Corp was engaged by Pfizer to remove 50,000 square feet of vinyl asbestos floor tile and mastic together with 5,000 linear feet of asbestos-containing thermal system insulation (TSI) on process and utility piping at their Parsippany, NJ campus.
All friable TSI work was executed inside engineered glovebag and mini-enclosure systems under negative pressure with HEPA filtration. Floor tile removal was staged after-hours where possible to preserve continuity for adjacent research and quality operations.
Third-party air monitoring covered every work area throughout the project. Final clearance passed on first submittal in every zone, and all waste was manifested to a licensed disposal facility.
