Asbestos Abatement Corp was retained by PWM Corporation to remove the entire 30,000 square foot flat roof system on their Bronx, NY facility. The scope covered demolition and disposal of the existing membrane, insulation and flashing across a single contiguous roof plane above active operations below.
Our crews staged the site with edge protection, debris chutes and a phased tear-off plan so that the building could continue running during the abatement. All materials were characterized, containerized and manifested to a licensed disposal facility in accordance with New York State DEC and NYC DEP requirements.
The project was completed in 2022, on schedule and without a single lost-time incident. The deck was left clean and ready for the follow-on roofing contractor.
