Asbestos Abatement Corp was retained by Amazon to remove the entire 35,000 square foot built-up roof (BUR) assembly on their Princeton, NJ facility. The scope covered demolition and disposal of the existing asphalt-and-gravel roof, insulation and flashings across the full roof plane.
Our crews staged the site with edge protection, debris chutes and a phased tear-off plan so that fulfillment operations below could continue uninterrupted. All materials were characterized, containerized and manifested to a licensed disposal facility in accordance with NJDEP requirements.
The project was delivered on schedule and without a single lost-time incident. The deck was left clean and ready for the follow-on roofing contractor.
